Specification: The unique and pure nature, crystal clear waters
and the fresh air of Mongolia attracts people who love nature and trekking.
Our tour follows a route through the Gobi Desert in the south to the
ancient capital Kharkhorin /Erdenezuu temple/ in central Mongolia. The trekking
area is through on of the last untouched areas of wilderness in Mongolia: it is
almost uninhabited. Also, there are rare animals and wild herbs and plants
along this route.
Total distance: 2500 kms by minivan.

Day-1
We'll start with a half day trip to the Zorgol Khairhan Mountain.(145kms) There
are beautiful rocky hills. We'll spend the night in tents.
Day-2
We'll do again half day trip driving to the Baga Gazaryn Chuluu Ruins(95kms). At
these ruins there are mineral water springs and threes a top the many beautiful
rocky hills. We'll spend the night in tents. On the way we'll stop at the
Ruins of Sum Khukh Burd Temple( little island) and we'll have lunch there.
Day-3 We'll do a full-day trip driving to Bayan-Zag ”Red Flaming Cliffs” On the way
we’ll stop for lunch at a huge flat steppe. We’ll spent the night in the
tourist ger camp. Bayan-Zag, which means “rich in Saxaul Shrubs” is more commonly known as
“Flaming Cliffs” of Bayan-zag, famous for the discovery of dinosaur fossils.
Day-4 We’ll do a hike around the flaming cliffs Bayan Zag and then have a lunch.
After lunch time we'll drive to the tourist camp near by Yolyn Am National park.
Spend the night at tourist ger camp.
Day-5
In the morning we’ll drive to a valley in Yolyn Am in the middle of the Gobi desert
National Park, which is a strictly protected area, covering 70sq.kms. The
mountains here are the highest in the Gobi Desert and the rocky scenery is quite
interesting, especially until mid-July while the ice gorge remains. We’ll walk
3kms through a narrow valley, then 3kms back to the minivan. It’s also possible
to go for a hike in the mountains, if you wish. After a hike we'll have an
outdoors lunch. After lunch
time we’ll drive to the “Dungnee Am” canyon for couple of hours and will
do a hike and a walk. We’ll spend the night in tents.
Day-6 We'll drive to the Khongoryn Els Sand Dunes. The Khongoryn Els are some of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. We'll see beautiful views, huge sand dunes and cold water spring with a river that leads to two small ponds. We'll spend a night in the Mongolian nomadic family's ger.
Day-7 We'll ride camels couple of hours and after lunch climb and
hike to the top of the biggest sand dunes. Spend the night at tourist ger
camp.
Day-8 We'll drive and cross the Sand dunes and spend the night in
tents near by small village named Gurvan-tes sum. On the way we'll stop for
a lunch.
Day-9,10 We'll do a full-day driving the Khermen Tsav( huge Flaming Cliffs).
It's the most spectacular area of the Gobi Desert. This is the main area where full
dinosaur fossils have been found in Mongolia. In fact, this is one of the
biggest dinosaur fossils areas in the world. We'll spend 2 nights there in
the tent.
Day-11 We'll drive to the Zulganai oasis. We'll have a lunch and
then will continue to drive for a couple of hours more. We'll spend the day
sightseeing, hiking and relaxing. We'll stay over night in a tent.
Day-12 We'll a full-day drive to the north part of Mongolia.
On the way, we'll stop for a lunch. Spend the night in tents.
Day-13 We'll drive to the Arvaikheer capital of province Ovorkhangai
aimag. Spend over night in a hotel. Here we can see the local museum
of Ovorkhangai province.
Day-14 Drive to the Ulaan Tsutgalan, which means the highest waterfall
in Mongolia. Spend the night in a nomadic family's ger.
Day-15 After lunch time we'll drive to the Kharhorin ( a slight
detour into Ovorkhangai province) is pleasantly smooth on tar. Once at this ancient
capital city, the highlight is Erdene Zuu Kiid Buddist monastery-the first in Mongolia.
It started in 1586 and parts have survived the Manchu invasion and Stalin's purges.
We'll stay at tourist ger camp.
Day-16. We'll visit to the Erdene zuu temple. We'll drive
to the Khogno Khaan Mountain. We'll spent a night in the tent.
Day-17 Drive back to Ulaanbaatar.
Except for the souvenirs that you might buy, everything else will be included
in the tour price such as accommodation in Ulaanbaatar or duration of trip, 3 meals
a day, national park entrance fees, camel riding ect...
N.B. None of these itineraries include the time spent in Ulaanbaatar.
